Getting Started with Weather Alerts on Your iPhone

Staying informed about weather conditions is crucial, especially when severe weather is imminent. Your iPhone's built-in Weather app offers a convenient way to receive timely notifications about precipitation and severe weather events. Here's how to set up and manage these alerts:
1. Enable Location Services for the Weather App
To receive accurate weather alerts based on your current location, ensure that the Weather app has access to your precise location:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap Privacy & Security, then select Location Services.
- Scroll down and tap Weather.
- Choose Always to allow the Weather app to access your location at all times.
- Toggle on Precise Location to receive more accurate notifications.
2. Activate Weather Notifications
Once location services are enabled, you can set up notifications for severe weather and next-hour precipitation:
- Open the Weather app.
