Managing Location Permissions in Clime: A Step-by-Step Guide

Clime is a comprehensive weather application that provides real-time radar images, severe weather alerts, and accurate forecasts. To ensure you receive the most precise and timely weather information, it's essential to manage the app's location permissions effectively.

Why Are Location Permissions Important?

Granting Clime access to your device's location allows the app to deliver weather updates tailored to your specific area. This ensures that the forecasts, alerts, and radar images you receive are relevant and timely.

How to Manage Location Permissions in Clime

For iOS Devices:

  1. Open Settings: Navigate to your device's "Settings" app.
  2. Select Clime: Scroll down and tap on "Clime: Weather Radar Live."
  3. Adjust Location Settings: Tap on "Location" and choose your preferred setting:
  • Never: Clime cannot access your location.
  • While Using the App: Clime can access your location only when the app is open.
  • Always: Clime can access your location at any time.

For Android Devices:

  1. Open Settings: Go to your device's "Settings" app.
  2. Access Apps: Tap on "Apps" or "Applications."
  3. Find Clime: Scroll down and select "Clime: NOAA Weather Radar Live."
  4. Modify Permissions: Tap on "Permissions" and then "Location." Choose your preferred setting:
  • Allow all the time: Clime can access your location at any time.
  • Allow only while using the app: Clime can access your location only when the app is open.
  • Ask every time: Clime will prompt you for location access each time you open the app.

Setting a Default Location in Clime
